Corner and baseboard grilles cover the low supply and return openings at the base of a wall, in a slim profile that a standard wall register would overshoot. AirGrilles stocks the baseboard range in 2 materials, steel and wood, and 4 colors, black, brown, oak, and white, across both supply registers, which carry a damper and throw air in one direction, and fixed return grilles, which pull room air back with no damper. The range spans three shapes, corner units for where a wall meets the floor at a corner, straight units that run flat along the base of a wall, and triangle units for the inside corner where two walls meet. Bulk pricing runs across 6 quantity tiers with savings up to 30% on higher-priced lines, orders of 500+ units qualify for custom production, and in-stock items ship the same day on orders placed by 11AM ET.
Corner, Straight, and Triangle Baseboard Registers
Baseboard registers come in three shapes, each matched to where the opening sits. Straight registers run flat along the base of a wall, corner registers use an angled face to deliver air where a wall meets the floor at an outside corner, and triangle registers tuck into the inside corner where two walls meet. All three sit within the baseboard supply registers group and keep a low profile so the register reads as trim rather than hardware. Match the shape to the opening's position, then confirm whether it is a supply or return opening.
Supply Registers vs Return Grilles at the Baseboard
The baseboard range holds two products that look alike but do opposite jobs. A supply register carries a back damper and throws conditioned air into the room in one direction, which is why the supply units list a 1-way airflow, while a return grille stays fixed with no damper and pulls room air back toward the system, which is why the return units leave the airflow column blank. The damper is the whole difference: it gives room-by-room control on the supply side that a fixed return grille does not need. Confirm whether the opening pushes air out or pulls it back before choosing between the two.
Sizing, Bulk and Custom Orders
Baseboard registers and grilles are ordered by the duct opening, measured width by height, with the outer face overlapping the opening, so a 12"W x 6"H opening uses a 13-1/4"W x 7-1/4"H face. For a wood face that follows the trim, wooden corner baseboard supply registers carry a solid oak front that takes stain to match the room. Bulk pricing spans 6 quantity tiers: 1, 2-10, 11-20, 21-49, 50+, and 100+, where lower-cost steel units settle to a flat per-unit rate at volume and higher-priced wood lines drop up to 30%. Orders of 500+ units qualify for custom production depending on size, finish, and lead time, and in-stock items ship the same day on orders placed by 11AM ET.
Common Questions About Corner & Baseboard Grilles
These answers cover the shape, supply-versus-return, sizing, and ordering questions that come up most on corner and baseboard grilles.
What is a corner baseboard grille?
It is a baseboard unit with an angled face built to deliver or return air where a wall meets the floor at an outside corner, rather than flat along a single wall. The angle lets the face sit cleanly into the corner while still moving air. Corner units come in both supply (with a damper) and return (fixed) versions.
What is the difference between a baseboard register and a baseboard grille?
A register supplies air and carries a damper to control the flow, while a grille is a fixed return with no moving parts. For fixed return openings at the base of a wall, steel baseboard return grilles cover the no-damper side of the range. Match the product to whether the opening pushes air out or pulls it back.
How do I size a baseboard register or grille?
Measure the duct opening width and height, then order by that opening rather than the visible cover. The outer face is larger because it overlaps the opening, so a 12"W x 6"H opening ships with a 13-1/4"W x 7-1/4"H face. Check each product listing for the exact outer dimensions before ordering.
What is a triangle baseboard unit?
It is shaped to fit the inside corner where two walls meet, with a face that follows both wall lines. Triangle corner baseboard supply registers handle that corner geometry on the supply side with a back damper, and fixed triangle return grilles cover the same corner on the return side. Measure the corner opening carefully, since the fit depends on the angle as well as the width.
Do baseboard units come in wood?
Yes, the range includes solid oak faces alongside steel, so the unit can match trim and flooring instead of reading as metal hardware. Oak takes stain evenly for a close match to the surrounding woodwork. Steel remains the durable, cost-effective choice where the finish matters less.
Where do I find the steel corner supply register?
For supply openings at an outside corner, steel corner baseboard supply registers give damper control in a durable steel face. Bulk pricing applies automatically across 6 quantity tiers, orders of 500+ units qualify for custom production, and in-stock items ship the same day on orders placed by 11AM ET.

Order by the duct opening, not the faceplate. Remove the vent and measure the hole behind it, then order that size. Getting it right the first time means no returns, no reorders, and no waiting on the job.
