Mounting holes are perfect

Mounting holes for the diffuser to the damper line up perfectly. My pics shows reverse installation of the hardware - when done correctly, the damper bolts will have white heads on the ceiling side. 4 stars for the damper turner being hard to work, but the product is perfectly serviceable.A higher quality damper diffuser combo utilizes the damper turner to mount the diffuser to the damper, but this isn't much more work. The damper turner seems a bit long, so we'll see during installation if it needs to be modified.That won't happen for a while, so feel free to ask if I forget to update this review.

Perfect!

For a while I’ve been working on replacing all the vents / diffusers in our home that was built in the 80s. This diffuser fits perfectly when replacing an already existing one. I love that this comes with the damper as well. So this order of the whole diffuser and damper kit was used to replace an older one that was looking rather nasty on the outside and inside and was also missing the plastic handle adjustment piece. So now it’s looking new and clean and I feel better knowing that I’m one more step towards breathing cleaner air. Goodbye dust and rust!

Get it if you need it it works

Fit right on perfect take the old one off put this new one on. They're golden. Worth every penny. I did a renovation and I didn't want to change the look only the location and I use this instead of the old junky one I had. It looks beautiful. Now how long is it going to last? No idea but who cares they're only like 10 bucks so get one if you need it.

No instructions, inappropriately sized screws. Otherwise a nice looking damper/vent

Looks great, but should come with different screws. If you look at the image, there are white and black screws of the same size, but the holes on the damper are of two different sizes. The smaller holes do not fit the included screws. To try to get the damper to fit i had to use smaller screws to keep the damper in place while i used the larger screws to hold the vent portion onto the rest of the damper/duct/ceiling. It would be much better if it came with instructions or other screws. It looks nice, but due to the lack of hardware, it looks like it wasn't installed perfectly/correctly. Otherwise, it's a great looking vent and it looks like it will do the job well!

Vent cover are much larger than

I ordered the 8 inch with damper / defuser the defuser part seem correct but the vent cover was almost a 20 inch cover . It fits but it is very large for some of the smaller rooms such as the bathroom or hallways.
