Choose this dryer vent cover to exhaust dryer or bathroom-fan air to the outdoors through an exterior wall. It mounts on an exterior wall and its non-return flap closes when the fan stops, blocking backdraft, pests, and weather. This is an exterior exhaust vent, not an HVAC supply or return grille.

How to Measure for This Vent

Measure the round duct or pipe the vent connects to and match it to the 4" Neck neck size above. Do not measure the outer panel.

Installation

Position the dryer vent cover over the duct neck opening with the finished face facing the room. Confirm the frame sits flush against the exterior wall surface before marking the screw points. Secure it with the included screws without overtightening, since excess force can distort the frame.

Fit 5" exhaust perfectly

Fit 5" Jennair downcraft external exhaust perfectly. The buckles fit snuggly into the exhaust.There is no bug screen but one can cut a small piece of window screen to fit over the opening before sliding it into the wall exhaust.

Solid quality product but one significant concern

This is a solid quality stainless steel air dryer vent cover hood. It not only looks superior to the typical plastic covers, but also feels more robust. I’ve been searching for a higher quality vent cover, and this one comes close to what I had in mind.However, there is one major aspect that could be improved. I think the mesh openings are too small for a dryer vent, which might lead to lint buildup and clogging quickly. For reference, my current plastic cover with rectangular openings measuring about ½”x ¾” required occasional cleaning. If the mesh is removed, it will require less lint cleaning and improve the airflow. However, this could potentially invite bugs.Even though this round model has an excellent quality, I would get a different model with a flap cover and larger mesh openings, like the Handua 6" Neck Stainless Steel Square Exhaust Air Dryer Vent Cover.

Superior to the plastic junk that is out there. Well made, looks good.

As you can see in my pictures, my dryer vent is very low to the ground. The design of this cover allows me to rotate it some to side for better ventilation. This cover is made entirely out of aluminum and is super well made. It has turning vanes at the back and a mesh screen to keep critters out. It looks very upscale, installs tightly to the vent pipe and was exactly what I needed.

Good quality and will probably last forever

Very sturdy vent without any louvers that would eventually breakdown. My only concern about this is the fairly fine screen that is in the vent cover. I would recommend checking it from time to time, because if you have a lint problem, it's probably going to plug up. Of course, you can always remove it before installing if it's a concern. It also comes with a small arrow shaped piece of metal. Not sure what it's for.

Nice Looking for a Dryer Vent Cover

Pretty darned good looking for a dryer vent cover. Makes the laundry vent look a lot better!Easy to install.Very durable and the clips to set it in place are solid and work well.Everything needed is included; also the rubber seal.It works well, especially because it comes with a screen inside to catch any stray lint.
