It is not designed for exterior or outdoor use or dryer exhaust venting. Confirm the airflow function against your HVAC layout before ordering. This heavy-duty return floor register holds up to foot traffic in busy rooms.

How to Measure for This Vent

Remove the existing vent and measure the width and height of the duct opening, not the outer face of the old cover. Match those two numbers to the nominal size above. The overall face measures 9-3/4"W X 15-3/4"H.

Installation

Set the floor register into the floor opening so the face rests level with the floor. No screws are required; the register drops in and its flange keeps it seated. Lift it out by the face for cleaning whenever needed.

I replaced 4 vent covers with these!!🤩

To be clear, these are cold air return vent covers. They do not close. I do not care. I knew exactly what I was going to use them for when I bought them. I had used them in another mobile home for my cousin. I bought my mobile home and they are exactly what I needed for my project. I replaced four!They do not come in any colors in this size. So you will have to spray paint them if you want a different color.They definitely are very very strong. I weigh 193 pounds. I have friends that are heavier than that. Not once have these been dented. And several people in my 55 and older community have replaced their tiny little vents with these after they saw my success. I needed these to be very strong to have the ability to walk on them as I cut out the floor vents to replace the old 4“ x 8“ vents with these 8“ x 12“ COLD AIR RETURN COVERS and the air-conditioning that comes through my mobile home has made a huge difference on the price of my electric bill. It cut my electric bill almost $45 a month because it allows the air to be pushed through the house and be much more comfortable. Yes these vent covers are expensive. In four months they paid for themselves.You will definitely be looking directly into the vent. So you may need to clean inside and spray paint if you have any rust or would like to make it look newer, like an intentional installation and not an afterthought.
